ECG:

An Electrocardiogram (ECG or EKG) is a test that measures the electrical activity of the heartbeat.

Although ECG has “electro“ in its name, it doesn’t send electricity into the body. Instead, it receives tiny electrical impulses that the beating heart makes and records them in a zigzag pattern on a moving strip of paper. An electrocardiogram (12 lead ECG) is an electrical recording of the heart and is used in the investigation of heart disease. Ours being PC – based 12- lead digital ECG, we have the option of getting a computerized interpretation of your ECG & also the ECG can be emailed to your doctor.
PREPARATION
1. Fasting is not Required.
2. Appointment is not Required

STRESS TEST:

It can provide excellent images of the heart, precardiac structures, and the great vessels.

During a standard echo, the sound waves are directed to the heart from a small hand-held device called a transducer, which sends and receives signals. Heart walls and valves reflect part of the sound waves back to the transducer to produce pictures of the heart. It is capable of displaying cross-sectional “slice“ of the beating heart.

PREPARATION
1. For 2d-echo fasting is not required.
2. Have to ask patient to get all old reports especially ECG is a must.
3. Appointment is required for 2d-echo.

2D Echo:

A Stress Test, sometimes called a treadmill test or exercise test, helps find out how well the heart handles stress.
As the body works harder during the test, it requires more oxygen and the heart has to pump more blood. The test can show if the blood supply is reduced in the arteries that supply the heart.
